Memories

Today I've been rocking to sounds of my past:

WAR HUNGRYYYYY!

War hungry are playing at the beginning of September. With Dirty Money AND Jailbait (whom I havn't seen play in ages, this will be sooooo good). Stoked? I think so!

A Link to My Past

I grew up playing video games in my room because I couldn't relate to most kids, I thought a lot of them were fucking stupid, senseless, selfish dumb cunts and I lived by a main road so I really couldn't play in the street. I have fond memories of playing Zelda and Mario after saving pocket money for weeks and weeks and helping in the house for a couple of extra pounds. The website 'Design Inspiration' (http://thedesigninspiration.com) has put up a series of Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda artworks by various people. Some are incredible. My favourites below and the links are here:

Broken Hearted

Being broken hearted is my destiny. Not necessarily in terms of romance, but just general disappointment. But I won't ever back down or give up. It'll be fixed someday.

We're the kids of America

Yesterday I went skating at Mile End skatepark, it's friggin sweet.

My mate Erika came out to skate too, it was a lot of fun she's always a positive and fun person to be around. Takes her slams well when she falls off her board.

I was going to go to a party afterwards and see Male Bonding play, but no -one wanted to come so I gave my buds Lianna and Karin a ring. They were in Camden, I ended up buying some cheap food from a market stall. It wasn't very tasty it was like plastic.

We then got in Karin's car to go to Harrow, we had the most fun ever. It was the 80s party in a car, and watching London go by on a hot summer's evening and people everywhere was so cool.

We stopped at some traffic lights and there was a girl with a cool looking dog in the next car to our right. She smiled at me and I took a photo, she posed and it was definitely nice to see strangers be so friendly for a change, made me feel happy.

If that wasn't enough, we saw a promo vehicle for Monster energy drink, it was huge! Lianna called out to the guy driving at the traffic lights to say his truck was awesome, then him and his girlfriend gave us free cans of Monster through the window. How friggin' sweet! He took a photo of Lianna's tattoos, and I took a picture of him taking a pic.

Here's the girls posing with the bounty of the evening. If you look closely you can see the truck in front of us after the had to overtake. I had never tried Monster before, but a friend had a good description: "Fizzy Sherbert".

So we got to Harrow, and it was £5 to get into Trinity's. Funk dat! So we just hung out with Steak and Adski for a bit drinking our cans of Monster. Ad and Steak went inside I had a huge heart to heart with the girls, it was cooolio.

After that we went round Dan's house as he's briefly back in the area from Brighton and chilled.
His kitchen was super modern.

There was a pretty sweet elephant sculpture in one of the kitchen cabinets, I thought it was so cool I had to take a pic.

Nudity

Matty C had a pretty fun but small par-day last night.

Matt's house is cool, there are all kinds of crazy clown memorabilia, some of it is creepy but cool none the less.

I found a framed pic of a kid, I thought it was of Matt's brother Gary but turns out its of a family friend's kid. Still striking resemblance though, don't you think?

Callum made an appearance with a young lady, turns out she's the sis of one of my mates Robin. She's pretty sound too!

During the evening nudity was indulged in. I remember doing a striptease to Micheal Jackson down to my underwear. Matty C took it one further and did the whole mangina ting. No photos exist of that little treat but we do have an action shot here of some random semi -nudeness and Emma getting a face full of crotch

Earl's Court Sci Fi Geekery

Short post! A couple of weeks ago I went to a Film and Scifi convention at Earl's Court with my friends Sarah, Emma and their mum. It's the second time we went together so it's becoming a tradition.

Me getting ghetto with Daleks

Emma, not Megan Fox btw

There were some stars doing the whole autograph thing, the only person I managed to get a pic of was Danny Trejo from Desperado, Heat, From Dusk Til Dawn and the Machete trailer

Inspiration

In my room I have a pin-up board where I put pics of things and people to inspire me

If we take a closer look....
This is my invite to the crew showing of the first Star Wars prequel from 1999. I remember being so excited to see it, and then having my heart broken. I have it on my wall to remind me that no matter whatever I do, if it sucks, it won't suck as bad as 'The Phantom Menace'.

I have some pictures of this girl, Keex. Keex plays in a few bands I love, is drop dead gorgeous and is a very interesting girl judging by her blog http://exceedinglygoodkeex.blogspot.com/ . Keex was on a bit of a downer recently so I told her she was my rock idol and I had pics of her on my wall. So here's proof!

To the left of those pics I have my Misfits postcards, given to me by a close friend Mullet many years ago. I love the old school Misfits, I wish I could pretend they never reformed to ruin their reputation.

Finally I have some favourite pics of friends and family over the years, we have ups and downs and arguments and tears but its all worth it.

In the centre of the whole board I have a picture of my late friend Dylan who died earlier this year. He was someone who had a lot of problems, sometimes they drove people away including me, and I regret not trying to help him more. I feel terribly guilty because I acted like a cunt and turned my back on him. He was a nice guy who would never say anything bad about people and I had lots of fun times with him listening to music, getting high and wasted and going on adventures around London. I keep thinking of him loads recently, I miss him too much.

RIP x
