Old friend
Some footage I filmed way back in 2001 of my friend 'Pnut' Tom Clarke at the Shell Centre got featured on the PWBC blog. Check it here:
2nd day of the new year
I'm not slowing down yet! First stop, southbank:
Crew's all here, smoking time
There were a few more new characters on the graff wall by the same guy as last time, 'broke'. Looking sick! Although one already has a few scribbles on it by some toy. The perils of legal walls...
So then onto the 12 bar and the Rucktion evening
Look who's here:
Before I had to leave I caught a couple of bands, one was called "Fort Valiance", they were pretty tight!
So then onto West Drayton and party time, it was full of many people partying hard and singing along to KillSwitch Enagage, Finch and the legendary Half Past History, if a reunion of the actual band members of sorts. It was 'bare joke' as they'd say in the city.
Hit of the evening: The 'designer beaver' toy where you used a magnet and iron filings to create a muff decorated how YOU want. Of course, I had the anti-christ muff.
It was a good time by all! I ended up going home at around 1:30 ish, I couldn't drink because of driving and everyone was starting to drunk out. I got home and found this young lady online:

Good times. I hadn't spoke to Kirsty in a while. Although I'm sure I saw something move behind her curtains....

CHIC-A-GO-GO
My mind has been blown. Imagine one of those notorious old school programs like Soul Train from the 70s, where you have someone like Al Green play live in a studio and the audience are all dancing, having a good time. Now fast forward to present day and replace Al Green with Lightening Bolt, the Misfits or Los Crudos, and instead of some hip cat presenting the show imagine a hip rat(literally!). I fell in love with this show instantly. Thanks to John Webb for featuring the Smith Westerns' appearance on his blog and opening my eyes to this insanity! Check a few vids below, and go to this link to see their youtube channel:

We're the kids of America
Yesterday I went skating at Mile End skatepark, it's friggin sweet.
My mate Erika came out to skate too, it was a lot of fun she's always a positive and fun person to be around. Takes her slams well when she falls off her board.
I was going to go to a party afterwards and see Male Bonding play, but no -one wanted to come so I gave my buds Lianna and Karin a ring. They were in Camden, I ended up buying some cheap food from a market stall. It wasn't very tasty it was like plastic.
We then got in Karin's car to go to Harrow, we had the most fun ever. It was the 80s party in a car, and watching London go by on a hot summer's evening and people everywhere was so cool.
We stopped at some traffic lights and there was a girl with a cool looking dog in the next car to our right. She smiled at me and I took a photo, she posed and it was definitely nice to see strangers be so friendly for a change, made me feel happy.
If that wasn't enough, we saw a promo vehicle for Monster energy drink, it was huge! Lianna called out to the guy driving at the traffic lights to say his truck was awesome, then him and his girlfriend gave us free cans of Monster through the window. How friggin' sweet! He took a photo of Lianna's tattoos, and I took a picture of him taking a pic.
Here's the girls posing with the bounty of the evening. If you look closely you can see the truck in front of us after the had to overtake. I had never tried Monster before, but a friend had a good description: "Fizzy Sherbert".
After that we went round Dan's house as he's briefly back in the area from Brighton and chilled.
His kitchen was super modern.
There was a pretty sweet elephant sculpture in one of the kitchen cabinets, I thought it was so cool I had to take a pic.
